One Dead After Vehicle Crashes Into Lake Tenkiller

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said one person is dead in a vehicle that crashed into Lake Tenkiller Monday.

The call came in at about 1 o'clock Monday afternoon. The OHP said the vehicle went into the water off of State Highway 82 about five miles south of Tahlequah.

The OHP said the Cherokee Nation Marshall Service dive team was working on getting both the vehicle and the victim out of the water.

Troopers said they didn't know exactly how the vehicle got into the water.
