Tulsa police say a Good Samaritan deserves credit for telling them about a break-in at a church. Officers say when they arrived at the Phoenix Baptist Church at 2139 South Phoenix just before 4 a.m., they learned a man had forced his way inside and wouldn't leave.
Someone who lives in the area saw the man enter the back of the church. Police say Gregory Bacon got in by breaking a glass door.
Officers surrounded the building, and Bacon wouldn't come out, they sent in a K-9 team. Bacon was treated at a hospital for a dog bite then taken to jail on a second-degree burglary complaint.
