An Osage County Deputy is recovering after his patrol car was found flipped over in a ditch.

It happened around 9:45 p.m. about 5 miles north of Skiatook on Highway 11.

According to Osage County Undersheriff, LouAnn Brown, Deputy Brendan O'Driscoll was on patrol as part of his field training when he went around a curve and, they said, possibly over corrected to get back on the road then flipped.

The car landed upside down with O'Driscoll pinned for a short time. Brown said he was taken to a hospital, treated and released.

O'Driscoll has been with the Osage County Sheriff's Office for four years and was promoted about three weeks ago to field deputy.
