A teenage girl died in a rollover wreck blamed on inattentive driving. The crash took place Monday afternoon near Blackwell.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers said a 17-year-old male was driving a Ford pickup when it left the roadway and hit a mailbox. The pickup flipped end over end and came to rest on its top.
His 17-year-old female passenger died at the scene. Neither was wearing a seatbelt. Their names were not released since they are under 21, but troopers said the boy is from Tonkawa and the girl from Brahman.
The driver was treated and released at a local hospital.
The collision report said the cause of the crash was inattentive driving. The driver was in normal condition at the time of the wreck.
