Today is perfect football weather as we reach the midway point of the high school football season.
As we kickoff week five of play, two teams stand unbeaten in District 1 in 6A-II.
Bartlesville is currently 4-0 on the season and the Bruins are just three wins away from the best start in school history in six years.
Quarterback Colton Penrod leads Bartlesville’s offense, averaging 38 ppg. A week five win would give the Bruins a leg up on home-field advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
Defending state champion Bixby has only one loss which the team suffered against Jenks in week one.
Nic Roller leads the Spartan ground game, rushing for almost 700 yards and ten touchdowns. Quarterback Tanner Griffin is also off to a good start, throwing for 1,200 yards and ten touchdowns.
We'll have highlights and postgame reaction tonight at 10:00 p.m.
