ATV Rider Dies One Week After Pittsburg County Crash

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a Crowder man died Monday from injuries sustained in an ATV crash in Pittsburg County a week ago.

Troopers said Jonathan Underwood, 38, was riding on a city street on September 5, 2015 when his ATV struck a guardrail, went off the road and rolled over. A medical helicopter flew him to a Tulsa hospital.

The OHP says there was an odor of alcohol at the crash scene and the cause of the crash was an unsafe speed. Troopers said Underwood was not wearing a helmet.
