Car Crushes Tulsa Man To Death

Tulsa Police said a man died when the car he was working on crushed him.

It happened in the 1900 block of South College at about 1 o'clock Thursday, August 20, 2015.

Police said Brett Durland, 26, was working on the car at his father's house when the accident happened.

Officers believe Durland jacked the car up and put it on some kind of supports and while he was underneath, it came off the supports and crushed him.

He was discovered a short time later. An ambulance took him to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said Durland lived in a detached garage at the home.
