A man is in critical condition at a Tulsa hospital after crashing his motorcycle into the back of a semi Monday afternoon in Delaware County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened on Highway 20 east of Jay just after 4 p.m.

The OHP said Adam Norman, 40, of Pine Ridge, Arkansas was attempting to pass the truck when the driver slowed to turn off the highway. The trooper said North lost control of his bike and hit the semi's trailer.

Norman was flown to a Tulsa hospital and his passenger, Kathy Norman, 39, was flown to a Joplin hospital, where she was treated and released.
The OHP says neither was wearing a helmet.

The driver of the semi, Luke Seigrist, 47, of Seneca, Missouri was not injured.
