26-Year-Old Owasso Kum & Go Shooting Victim Dies

A man shot at an Owasso Kum & Go gas station has died of his wounds, according to Owasso Police.

A man shot at an Owasso Kum & Go gas station has died of his wounds, according to Owasso Police. Lieutenant Nick Boatman said 26-year-old Sperry resident Emmett Tyler Wood was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Police are looking for the shooter.

Wood was shot around 6 p.m. at the convenience store in the 8600 block of North Main Street. Police found him in the parking lot.

Witnesses say the shooter was in a red pickup that quickly left the area. Police say the shooter's vehicle and it was recovered at Hobby Lobby on Saturday afternoon.

According to a fundraising page set up for funeral expenses, Wood was a graduate of Skiatook High School and a member of the 2004 state championship baseball team. Wood was an electrician's apprentice and leaves behind a 3-year-old daughter, the page says.
