People in Jenks will soon be able to go to the hospital without leaving town.
The new Center of Orthopedic Reconstruction & Excellence, or CORE for short, will open next Tuesday.
The $45 million center is part of the Bristow Medical Center and will bring 130 new jobs to Jenks.
"Most of the time the larger hospitals in the metroplex kind of reach out to the smaller communities, but this time we have kind of flipped that on edge, and Bristow Medical Center has created this facility in the Jenks-Tulsa area," said Bristow Medical Center CEO, Jan Clark.
Bristow Medical Center also unveiled a new rural healthcare model with plans to bring higher quality healthcare to smaller towns.
The Center plans to have specialized doctors rotating between facilities in Bristow and Cushing.
