Boat Breaks Apart, Sinks In Fire On Lake McAlester, OHP Says

A motor on a boat on Lake McAlester caused six occupants to evacuate on Sunday, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

OHP says it is unknown why the motor caught fire, but the fire spread to the rest of the boat and forced evacuations.

The fire was so massive, the boat broke apart and sunk, OHP says in a report.

All occupants reached the shore safely. No injuries were reported.
