Beggs Man Critical After Motorcycle Crash

A motorcyclist was transported by medical helicopter after a crash west of Locust Grove on Saturday, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

OHP says 63-year-old John William Johnson, of Beggs, failed to negotiate a curve on scenic 412, departed the roadway, lost control and overturned. He was ejected 31 feet, OHP said.

According to OHP, Johnson’s condition was apparently normal and the cause of the crash is unsafe speed on a curve.

Johnson was admitted to a hospital in critical condition, OHP says.
