The Kansas Department of Transportation says repair work is set to begin Monday, July 6 on a Highway 166 bridge in Chautauqua County.

The KDOT says the $173,578 project will replace expansion joints, remove deteriorating concrete and make girder repairs to the bridge over the Caney River east of Niotaze.

Traffic over the bridge will be reduced to one lane during the project which is expected to be finished by early September.
