Tulsa Shock guard Skylar Diggins has been named Western Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
Diggins had a season-high 26 points in the team's 86-78 win over the Minnesota Lynx this past Sunday. Both teams entered the game with a 5-1 record, as she hit 9-of-15 from the field, 3-of-4 from the three-point line and 5-of-5 from the free throw line. She also tallied eight assists and two steals. The win helped the Shock secure its first place standing in the Western Conference (6-1).
The third-year WNBA star is ranked fourth in the league in points per game and third in threes and assists.
Chicago's Elena Delle Donne, the league's leading scorer (29.3), was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.
The honor is based on games played from June 15-21.
