A father and son were robbed at gunpoint as they prepared to go to work early Saturday morning. Police say the two men were in the driveway of a residence in the 3700 block of East Woodrow Street at about 3:40 a.m.

That's when a man with a gun forced them to lie down on the ground and took their wallets. The son was also pistol-whipped, according to police.

Police say the robber ran to a dark-colored sedan and got in the passenger seat, leaving northbound on Louisville.

The beaten man was taken to the hospital for treatment, police say.
