This weekend is the anniversary of the opening of the Linnaeus Teaching Garden near Woodward Park. A special event with great giveaways is taking place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday behind the Tulsa Garden Center, 2435 South Peoria Avenue.
It's the ninth anniversary for the garden which is used for demonstration and teaching. It's free and open to the public.
You can tour the garden and learn the latest gardening trends. The garden areas use the latest and most successful techniques for growing vegetables, annuals, perennials, woody plants and groundcovers.
The garden is accessible via ramps and paved pathways.
Plus, the first 400 people to arrive will receive a new variety of hydrangea for free.
