Abandoned Car Hit By BNSF Locomotive In West Tulsa

Sheriff's deputies said a car abandoned at a west Tulsa railroad crossing was struck by a BNSF locomotive early Wednesday.

The crossing is located at West 21st Street South and South 49th West Avenue. Deputies said the train engine hit the car at about 1 a.m. pushing it about a half a mile down the tracks before stopping. 

After searching the area, deputies found the driver and arrested him.  His name was not released.
