Westbound Highway 11 Exit To Tulsa Airport Closes Temporarily

The exit from westbound Highway 11 to the Tulsa International Airport was closed for several hours Tuesday, according to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.

While it was closed drivers were still able to get to the airport by exiting at Sheridan Road, turn left (south) then left again on Highway 11 eastbound to take the Virgin Street/Airport exit, airport spokesperson Alexis Higgins said.

ODOT suggests exiting Interstate 244 at Sheridan Road for access to Virgin Street/TIA.

The right lane of the highway near Pine Street, the westbound on-ramp from Pine Street and the westbound off-ramp to Virgin Street was closed as part of a surface repairs project.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation reopened the exit ramp just after 2 p.m.
