Two Women Arrested In Connection To Tulsa Heller Park Homicide

Two Tulsa women have been arrested following the death of a third woman. Police say Shamara Girod, 27, died after being hit by a car at Heller Park on April 27, 2015.

Girod was involved in an altercation at the park before being run over, according to Sergeant Dave Walker, Tulsa Police. Investigators found a knife and multiple shell casings at the scene and were looking for a silver car witnesses said hit Girod.

On Friday, police arrested Erica Markham and Katina Scott.

Erica Markham, 31, was booked on complaints of first-degree manslaughter and kidnapping, after former conviction of a felony. She is being held on a $150,000 bond. 

Katina Rochelle Scott, 38, was booked on complaints of kidnapping, destroying evidence and possession of a controlled drug, also after former conviction of a felony.

Katina Scott has served time for knowingly concealing stolen property and obtaining merchandise by false pretense, according to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. Records show Erica Markham failed to meet the terms of a deferred sentence for larceny from a retailer.
