The sun is expected to return for a while Wednesday afternoon, but News On 6 meteorologist Mike Grogan says the dry spell won't last very long.
He says it will remain clear overnight with lows forecast in the 50s and 60s, before more rain returns on Thursday.
A Flash Flood warning remains in effect through this evening in LeFlore County. The National Weather Service reports those living along the Poteau River near Panama could see minor flooding thanks to heavy rains late Tuesday and early Wednesday.
On Thursday, Grogan says eastern Oklahoma could see highs near 80 and a chance for rain increasing beginning in the evening and running into Friday.
