Tulsa Police say a suspected DUI driver from Coweta assaulted two officers during an arrest early Sunday. Jeremiah Lynn Quigg was booked into Tulsa County Jail for driving under the influence, two counts of aggravated assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.

Police say they pulled Quigg's vehicle over for traffic violations after seeing his vehicle swerving on South Yale Avenue near 61st Street South just before 2 a.m.

Quigg, 36, smelled of alcohol and had "extremely glazed over" eyes, an arrest report states. Police say when they tried to arrest him, he cursed and began to fight.

He reportedly kicked one officer in the forehead and struck the other a couple of times. Police say neither officer was seriously hurt, and they took him into custody.

His passenger, James Felts, was also arrested. Felts was booked into jail on a complaint of public intoxication.
