A car hauler overturned Saturday morning at the merger of Interstate 44 and Interstate 244 near Sapulpa. It happened on Interstate 44 westbound near the Town West shopping Center.
The semi truck is on a grassy area next to the highway. A car was thrown from the trailer and is upright on its wheels.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that the driver said another car stopped suddenly in front of him as he went around a curve. He went into a slide and overturned.
There were eight cars on the truck; all were damaged, the trooper said. Sapulpa firefighters cleaned up a small spill of diesel fuel.
The driver and a passenger were treated at the scene but were not hurt badly enough to be taken to the hospital.
The trooper told News On 6 the men were fortunate in that they were wearing their seatbelts. He urged drivers to stay home if at all possible.
