TU's Marc Scott Named AAC Track Athlete Of The Week

Marc Scott of the University of Tulsa's track and field team earned the American Athletic Conference's Men's Track Athlete of the Week award, announced by the conference office Tuesday.

The sophomore from North Yorkshire, England broke the program in the 5,000-meter run, finishing in 13:47.96, at the Iowa State Classic last weekend in Ames, Iowa.

The time was good for eighth overall on the day, but is 23.32 seconds faster than any other time in The American this season

Scott is on the bubble in terms of an NCAA berth, as his mark is currently the 17th fastest time in the nation this season.
