Drivers will need to plan around several detours for this week's commute.

Starting Monday, crews will close the bridge over Dirty Butter Creek on 36th Street North - just east of Peoria Avenue. In January, engineers found problems with the southeast corner of the bridge.

The bridge will remain closed through March 10th as emergency repairs are made.

Also beginning this week, several streets in Tulsa's downtown will undergo maintenance work.

Lanes will be closed as needed while crews remove remove the top surface, make repairs below the surface, and lay down new asphalt.

Streets to receive maintenance include:

  • East Second Street between South Detroit Avenue and South Lansing Avenue
  • South Cincinnati Avenue between East First Street and East Eighth Street
  • East Seventh Street between South Boulder Avenue and South Detroit Avenue
  • East Eighth Street between South Boulder Avenue and South Cincinnati Avenue
