A 19-year-old Oilton girl was distracted by her cell phone when she was seriously injured in a crash late Saturday morning, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers say Martina Hillan was southbound on Fairgrounds just north of McElroy in Payne County when she drove off the road to the right. Her Ford hit a ditch and rolled a time and a half times before coming to rest on its top.

Hillan, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to an Oklahoma City hospital in serious condition with head and internal injuries.

The investigating trooper said she was distracted by talking on her cell phone but was in otherwise normal condition before the wreck.
