The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a passenger in a car going the wrong way on the Turner Turnpike east of the Bristow exit died in a three-vehicle crash early Monday.

Troopers said Manuel Lopez, 36, of Jenks was driving a 2002 Chevy Camaro eastbound in the westbound lanes when he struck a 2006 Buick SUV driven by Michael Boyd, 66 of Oklahoma City.

The impact caused the SUV to hit a 2005 Chrysler 300 driven by Delvin Nelson, 37, of Oklahoma City also headed west, according to the OHP.

Paramedics took Boyd, Nelson and the passengers in their vehicles to Tulsa hospitals were they were all treated and released. A passenger in Lopez's car, Susanna Olgin, 40, of Jenks was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lopez was treated and released from a Bristow hospital. The OHP report said Lopez had an odor of alcohol on him.

The crash closed the westbound lanes of the turnpike for about an hour while firefighters worked to remove Olgin's body from the Camaro.
