Max Landis, who had a career-high 27 points, scored nine in the final 3:39 as IPFW held off Oral Roberts for a 75-69 victory in Summit League play on Saturday night.

Landis was 8 of 10 from the floor and made 9 of 10 free throw attempts. Steve Forbes had 13 points and Joe Reed added 12 as IPFW (13-11, 6-5) grabbed its fifth straight win.

The Mastodons led throughout until ORU's Obi Emegano and Korey Billbury hit two straight jumpers to take a 43-40 lead at the 14:30 mark. Reed, Joe Edwards and Landis made three straight layups for a 46-43 lead and IPFW never trailed again.

The Golden Eagles closed to 68-66 with 1:02 left but Forbes hit a jumper and Landis added two free throws for a 72-66 advantage.

Billbury had 19 points, Bobby Word added 16 and Emegano had 14 for ORU (13-11, 6-4).
