Tulsa Man To Be Sentenced In Child Sexual Abuse Case

A Tulsa man has entered a blind plea in the sexual abuse of a minor and waived his right to trial scheduled for Tuesday.

A Tulsa man has entered a blind plea in the sexual abuse of a minor and waived his right to trial scheduled for Tuesday.

Brian Keith Smith is not contesting charges that he molested a 10-year-old girl in 2013, according to the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office.

Smith, now 29, was arrested after the girl told detectives he forced her to touch him on several occasions, arrest records state.

Police say he confessed to at least one act. He's charged with three counts of sexual abuse of a minor. In two other unrelated cases, he has been charged with destroying public property at the Tulsa County Jail, threatening a detective with a violent act and assaulting a detention officer.

He will be sentenced on March 24, 2015, according to the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office.
