Firefighters are fighting a brush fire in rural Okmulgee County near Dripping Springs State Park.
Tim Craighton with Okmulgee County Emergency Management says about a 1,000 acres burned Tuesday and firefighters are back out Wednesday hoping to contain the fire before winds pick up in the afternoon.
Craighton says the biggest problem they've encountered is wet ground. Several firefighting trucks have gotten stuck getting into the fire area.
He says no structures are threatened.
Okmulgee County is one of several counties currently under a Red Flag Fire Warning Wednesday afternoon.
