The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says no one was injured when a car hit the back of a Fort Gibson Public Schools bus in Muskogee County on Wednesday morning.

Troopers said the bus with 15 students on board was headed west on Highway 62. The driver of a 2008 Chevrolet, 25-year-old Michael Watkins, of Tahlequah, rear-ended the bus, which had slowed at an intersection.

OHP said the impact wedged the car under the rear of the bus.

Neither Watkins, the bus driver, Jerry Fields, 61, of Muskogee, nor the students were injured.

The OHP report states Watkins admitted he had dropped something in the car and while he was attempting to pick it up, he struck the bus.
