Tulsa Water Department Repairing Pair Of Water Line Breaks On 2nd Street

Tulsa water department employees were busy early Wednesday making preparations to repair two water main breaks both on 2nd Street.

The city reported the first break of a 6-inch water main in the 8000 block of East 2nd Street at about 3 a.m. 

According to the City of Tulsa's website, the break happened in a parking lot and only impacted two nearby homes.

The second break was two and a half hours later in the 200 block of West 2nd Street. The city says a 12-inch line broke under a sidewalk impacting a nearby business.

Workers are estimating they will have both breaks repaired Wednesday afternoon.
