Deputies arrested a man they say assaulted a Tulsa County deputy after leading them on a foot chase early Friday.
The sheriff's office said deputies pulled over a silver SUV on North Sheridan near Independence at about 3 a.m. The driver got out, threw a bag containing marijuana away and took off running, the office said. The man kicked a deputy during a struggle and ran away, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies arrested three other people in the SUV, two women and a man, on public intoxication complaints.
About an hour later, Tulsa police officers at the QuikTrip at I-244 and Sheridan spotted the man as he walked up to the store and arrested him.
They booked the unidentified man into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of possession of marijuana and assault and battery on a police officer.
