Patchy fog formed across portions of northern and eastern Oklahoma Wednesday morning.

News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone said are large area of northern and eastern Oklahoma were under a freezing fog advisory for several hours Wednesday morning.

He says temperatures are at or just below freezing and minor icing could occur on bridges across the area.

Crone says the high Wednesday is expected near 53, but colder air moving out of the west will raise the chances for light snow or sleet across western and central Oklahoma early Thursday.

Precipitation is expected to begin falling across northwestern Oklahoma Wednesday evening and slowly move east. As the colder air arrives in Oklahoma, that precipitation will change over to light snow or sleet.
