New Contract Prevents Green Country Veterans From Moving Nursing Homes

Oklahoma veterans will not have to change nursing homes thanks to a new contract between nursing homes and the VA Hospital in Muskogee.

Oklahoma veterans will not have to change nursing homes.

We told you last month, because nursing homes contract with the VA, they have to meet federal requirements, meaning paying employees the new federal minimum wage, $10.10 an hour.

The VA Hospital in Muskogee said it successfully re-negotiated contracts with all 18-area nursing homes so none of the 77 Green Country vets have to move.
