Tulsa Police: Man Throws Rubbing Alcohol At Employee Before Robbery

Tulsa Police need help identifying a man they say robbed a Tulsa Walgreens and assaulted an employee in the process.

Tulsa Police located a man they say robbed a Tulsa Walgreens and assaulted an employee in the process.

According to a news release, on Monday, January 12 around 2:45 a.m., John Burton walked into the Walgreens at 3112 South Harvard Avenue, took a bottle of rubbing alcohol from a shelf, opened it and threw it in the face of an employee after an argument.

Police say Burton then demanded money from the register and threatened the employee saying, "Don't make me get out my gun." They said when the employee gave Burton the money he left the store.

According to reports a tip led police to Burton and on Tuesday he was taken into custody.

Records show he's being held on several complaints including robbery with a firearm or dangerous weapon. He's being held on a $50,750 bond.
