Four-star quarterback Chad President has officially signed scholarship papers and has been admitted to the University of Tulsa, TU coach Philip Montgomery announced today. President will begin classes on Monday, Jan.12 at Tulsa and be eligible to participate in spring practice.

The 6'3”, 195-pounder led Temple High School to an overall 13-2 record and the Texas Class 5A state championship game. President was named the 17-5A Offensive Player of the Year as a senior.

President completed 146-of-246 passes for 2,391 yards and 23 touchdowns, while rushing for 878 yards, six TDs and an 8.2-yard average his senior season. He was the third-rated senior quarterback in the state of Texas by Rivals.com and the No. 9 dual-threat quarterback in the nation.

“Chad is an explosive and elusive offensive player, a dual threat quarterback who runs and throws well,” said Montgomery. “He can make things happen when things start to break down. He does great things with his feet and has really come along throwing the football. Chad has been in an offense similar to what we'll run here, so he understands the ins and outs of the offense.”

ESPN.com has ranked President as the nation's No. 274th prospect. He is also ranked 171st nationally and 21st in the state of Texas by MaxPreps.
