Food For Kids Backpack Program Gets Helpful Boost

The Food for Kids Backpack Program got a big boost Monday. Sodexo gave a $1,000 grant to the program.

The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma organizes Food for Kids.

The program sends backpacks full of food home with students every weekend.

Its purpose is to make sure children in need are able to have proper nourishment on the weekends when they are away from school lunchrooms.
