Domestic and other disputes were responsible for the largest number of deaths in Tulsa in 2014, according to statistics released Saturday by the Tulsa Police.
There have been 53 homicides so far this year, with an 87 percent closure rate, according to Homicide Sergeant Dave Walker.
Seven homicides - or 13 percent - remain unsolved. Six were officer-involved shootings.

Guns were by far the weapon of choice with 39 of the deaths blamed on gunshot wounds. There were eight stabbings and three bludgeoning deaths.
The first death of the year was a hit-and-run car crash. Of the two children that died, one was caused by arson and one attributed to shaken baby syndrome.
