Rogers County Teen Panics, Gets Arrested In Armed Robbery

A 16 year old is in jail because he thought police were after him, but it turns out they weren't.

They say he called a friend Friday night from the Claremore McDonald's and said, police were looking for him because he robbed the Kong's Convenience store a few days earlier.

The police were actually racing to a shooting scene nearby. But, Claremore police and Rogers County Sheriff's Deputies quickly arrested the 16 year old who they say is shown in surveillance picture robbing the convenience store.

Police say a 16-year-old girl also admitted going along for the robbery.

They also say another man, Triston Kerns, helped plan the robbery and was there when it happened.
