The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Joshua Michael Lundgren, 24, of Catoosa was killed when a 2008 Tadano GT90 crane headed east on Highway 412 crashed Wednesday afternoon.

Troopers said the crash happened near 209th West Avenue west of Sand Springs at 4:55 p.m.

The OHP says the crane's front left tire blew out, causing the driver to lose control, run through the cable barrier, across the westbound lanes, hit a tree and roll onto its side.

Troopers said Lundgren was pinned in the wreckage for 6 hours while the Sand Springs Fire Department and a semi wrecker worked to free him. The OHP says Lundgren was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers continue to investigate the crash.
