Troopers have some new hi-tech tools to help fight drunk driving in Oklahoma. Thursday, they showed off four new blood alcohol testing vans.
The vans have the latest gadgets to check sobriety - like breath tests - and even special flashlights that detect alcohol vapors in the air.
They'll be used at D.U.I. checkpoints across the state and at concerts or festivals where alcohol is popular.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Colonel, Rick Adams said, "Just in two operations that they've been on so far, they arrested over 337 intoxicated and impaired drivers on our streets and highways here in Oklahoma.”
Troopers also have a new type of kiosk they can use at checkpoints to swipe a drivers' license and immediately find out if a person is wanted or if the license is suspended.
