Tulsa's Comic Con sold out of tickets on Saturday, but they're expecting another crowd tomorrow for a taste of the country's best known sci-fi convention.

It's all about science fiction. It's also about pop culture, comic books and animation, but it really comes down to an experience for the fans.

There's no costume too outrageous and no sci-fi show unforgotten in the world of Comic Con.

The convention's first appearance in Tulsa was a Saturday sell out.

Fans crowded in to catch sight of celebrities, and hundreds waited for a meet and greet with stars from the "The Walking Dead."

"We came up this morning, yesterday, and spent the night so we could be here this morning when it opened," Waurika's Linda Zinn said.

Celebrities were around every corner, waiting to meet their fans.

"It's exhilarating because you know you're doing something positive," Lou Ferrigno said.

The CEO of Wizard World says social media buzz drew Comic Con to Tulsa, but the crowd will bring them back.

“We've already booked our next year's show and we're actually taking more space next year,” Wizard World CEO John Macaluso said.

It was the first major sci-fi convention for Jeannette Gragg of Broken Arrow.

"I did the James Marsters VIP, I've always wanted to meet him and it happened," Gragg said.

The convention center is filled with sci-fi souvenirs, and Marvel comics artist Greg Horn says Tulsans are stocking up.

"Some shows you go to and people are a little shy about shelling out money for stuff, but it's been pretty good here,” artist Greg Horn said.

Saturday was a sell out, but tickets still are available for Sunday at $40.
