Tulsa Doctors On Their Way Home From Assisting Syrian Refugees

A group of eight medical professionals is returning to Tulsa from Iraq Monday, October 20. The medical assistance team members volunteer with In His Image, a Christian relief organization.

The doctors assisted hundreds of Syrian refugees in a 10-day mission trip. The refugees fled Syria's civil war to live in an Iraqi refugee camp.

The medical assistance team was led by Dr. Mitchell Duininck, resident director of In His Image which is affiliated with St. John Health System.

They are expected at the Tulsa International Airport Monday evening.
