An Iowa man is in the Pittsburg County jail charged with the murder of two Hartshorne men almost four years ago.

Scott Bornheim, 34, of Iowa Falls, Iowa was arrested earlier this month in connection with the deaths of David Smith, 46, and Mark Hall Jr., 28.  Both men were found shot to death in a mobile home about 4 miles north of Hartshorne on December 5, 2010.

In a court affidavit, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said it learned the men's deaths stemmed from a dispute over a stolen Bobcat skid steer loader. It says its investigation determined Bornheim shot both men with a pistol then destroyed the gun with a cutting torch.

Court records in Iowa show Bornheim was on probation after a conviction in 2012 for stabbing a man in Iowa Falls.

Pittsburg County court records do not show when Bornheim's next court hearing will be.
