One of Tulsa's signature celebrations is now underway as Oktoberfest kicked off Thursday.
People were having a great time as booths were full and everyone was walking around to check out all the vendors.
With all kinds of traditional German food - as well as some American favorites - entertainment, games and of course, the big seller, beer, Oktoberfest is one that many Tulsans look forward to.
This year a lot of preparation was involved as all volunteers had to go through a training session before the festival began; and unlike years past, this year volunteers are not allowed to drink at the event.

Organizers are making sure the volunteers know when to cut someone off, especially since it could lead to criminal charges for the server.
"It's a felony in the state, which means, you lose everything. I mean most of these people have full time jobs that they're very happy with," said Erik Smooth with the Oklahoma ABLE Commission.
The event goes through Sunday.
