Tulsa police said they shot and killed an armed suspect near 16th and Memorial.

They said the man was connected in a Friday, October 3rd shooting where he pulled a gun on a women.

Detectives said they were investigating a domestic violence case and they wanted to talk with the 30-year-old man. Police said investigators weren't there to serve a warrant or arrest him.

When detectives got to the house, they said the man was outside in the yard and two children were in the house.

Officers said when they approached the man, he pulled out a gun. Police said that's when about four shots were fired. It's unclear if any of those shots came from the man.

"I don't know who shot first. I do know that he drew his weapon," said Tulsa Police Officer, Demita Kenard.

The man was hit by gunfire and taken to a hospital where he died.

Police said they are waiting until the man's family is notified before releasing his name.

They said he was the father of the two children inside the home and they are now with family.
