Former Chelsea Assistant Fire Chief Charged With Sexual Battery

Rogers County prosecutors charged a former assistant fire chief with sexual battery.

The victim's mother said Tony Mariezcurrena was a family friend, and in his house last August she said he touched and tried to kiss her 16-year-old daughter.

She said she discovered about 3,500 messages he had exchanged with her daughter in the two months before that.

Mariezcurrena was the former assistant fire chief in Chelsea. The Chelsea Fire Department told us he hasn't been on duty since November of last year.

He was arrested over the weekend and is now out of jail on bond.
