Law enforcement officers worked a number of weather-related crashes across the Tulsa area Thursday morning.
High water stranded vehicles at 81st and Elwood in Tulsa and at Sahoma Lake Road and Line Street in Sapulpa.
PSO Oklahoma reported more than 600 customers in Nowata County without electricity as of 6:45 a.m. but says power has since been restored. OG&E is also reporting more than 100 Sapulpa customers are without power.
News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone says the rain is moving into southeastern Oklahoma. He expects more showers and storms across eastern Oklahoma Thursday afternoon. Crone says a few of these storms may be strong to severe with hail and wind the main issues. He says even with the rain afternoon highs could reach in the mid to upper 80s.
Crone said what is left of Hurricane Odile, which struck the Baja region of Mexico earlier this week, will move into Oklahoma Saturday. He said most of the state will feel the effects of the storm system as it moves from west to east across the state.
