Robbers Target Two Men Outside Tulsa Apartment Complex

Two men talking outside an apartment complex were robbed at gunpoint Sunday night. It happened at the Boca Vista Apartments near 31st and Garnett.

The men told police two robbers - one armed with a gun - came up to them at about 11 p.m. Sunday. Police say each of the robbers grabbed one of the victims.

The one without the gun couldn't control one of the victims who ran away into an apartment. The robber with a gun shot at him, hitting an apartment window. No one was wounded.

"Thank goodness, there wasn't anybody else in the apartment, just the one victim who had ran away from being robbed," said Sergeant Mark Watson, Tulsa Police Department.

The other victim was in a choke hold and when he tried to get away, the robber hit him in the head with gun and he man fell to the ground. 

Paramedics took him to the hospital. Police say he will probably need stitches but should be OK.

The two robbers got away with a wallet.
