Carrie Underwood, who recently announced she is pregnant, got emotional during an acceptance speech at the annual ACM Honors event after thanking family and friends.
The Checotah native received the Gene Weed Special Achievement Award on Tuesday night in Nashville, Tennessee.
"Thank you to my family and my husband tonight, very supportive and wonderful to me," Underwood said before the tears began. "I have the best team in the universe and I feel like I don't get enough chances to thank them publicly."
"What is wrong with me?" she said after sniffling her way through the speech.
According to the Academy of Country Music, the Gene Weed Special Achievement Award acknowledges unprecedented, unique and outstanding individual achievement in country music. Past recipients of the award include Garth Brooks, George Burns, Jeff Foxworthy, Willie Nelson, Blake Shelton and George Strait.
Underwood, 31, and her husband, NHL player Mike Fisher, are expecting their first child next spring.
